Sisters of the Lamb of God
In 1998, the Sisters of the Lamb of God
went to Juarez, Mexico and started El
Manantial, a center for disabled
children and young adults that has
grown tremendously. El Manantial
means The Spring, as in a spring of
water gushing forth from its source. In
this case the source is Christ and all of
us are born from this source, with all of
its crosses and blessings. Students
learn life skills, receive physical
therapy, have art classes, go to school.
They have a lot of love and happiness
to share with everyone they meet, a
wonderful witness to the world. El
Manantial even has six very happy
residents!
Another chef in the making! Students at El
Manantial learn cooking skills they can take
with them wherever they go in life.
A very happy graduate shows off her
diploma!
Sr. Lisa Marie helps another
beaming El Manantial student with
her physical therapy.
What would life be without a little dancing?
Sr. Carmen has some fun dancing with
students.
Learning to walk is always fun and I'm sure
teaching it is equally enjoyable, but the
smiling bit--that's got to be the best part!

The six new residents at El Manantial gather around their Christmas tree and nice fire beaming
about the upcoming holiday season. Our own Sr. Lisa Marie is on the top right sharing in their joy.
