Sisters of the Lamb of God
Spirituality
We pray together and personally 7 times a day.
We seek the divine intimacy which does not end,
for ourselves, for the Church and for the world.
The being who is conscious of her freedom,
offers herself,
gives herself,
surrenders herself
completely to the other
and it is wonderful when
the other is God.
Our Spirituality
Our spirituality is to live in the
meekness and humility as Jesus lived
it, especially in his Paschal Mystery.
The Sisters of the Lamb of God have a
dual spirituality based on St. Ignatius of
Loyola and St. Thérèse of the Child Jesus.

From Ignatius we take finding God in
everything, all circumstances and every
piece of creation. We also use his
method of discerning--to seek only what
is for the glory of God.

From St. Thérèse we seek to live simply in
meekness, humility, love, confidence,
mercy, and trust in God. With her mission
as she states, it is not enough to love but
to BE love.

We are neither more one than the other,
we are both equally.

THE ASCENSION OF THE LORD
Forty days after the Resurrection of Christ,
Jesus ascended into Heaven.
Before Jesus ascended,
He promised the Holy Spirit would come in His place.
The Ascension of the Lord always falls on a Thursday.
Acts of the Apostles 1:8-11

"But you will receive power when the holy
Spirit comes upon you, and you will be my
witnesses in Jerusalem, throughout Judea and
Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” When
he had said this, as they were looking on, he
was lifted up, and a cloud took him from their
sight. While they were looking intently at the
sky as he was going, suddenly two men
dressed in white garments stood beside them.
They said, “Men of Galilee, why are you
standing there looking at the sky? This Jesus
who has been taken up from you into heaven
will return in the same way as you have seen
him going into heaven.”
While the Ascension of the Lord always fall
on a Thursday and is a Holy Day of
Obligation in the catholic Church, many
diocese in the United States have chosen to
celebrate the Ascension on Sunday, May 12.
